- Our God is a God of joy. He loves celebration. He loves to celebrate with us. But we tend to forget this. We tend to conduct our life with inertia. When we work, we tend to keep on working and forget to take time out to rest, to refresh ourselves, and to appreciate God’s blessings. That’s why He gives us a calendar.
- According to His calendar, 7 times a year we are to hold a feast with Him. A feast is an occasion for celebrations. We are to observe festivities throughout the year– hence celebrating all our life events with Him.
- There are three goals for “the appointed times”: remembrance of God’s blessings in the past, celebration of God’s blessing in the present, and a reminder or foretaste of God’s promised blessings in the future.
