Man’s Consecration and God’s Blessing, 1/10/2010
- The Nazirites wear the symbol of their consecration on their head. Whether they are awake or asleep, they are constantly reminded of their identity and their duty. If they fail in some way, shape or form, their hair is cut prematurely. Their badge is taken from them. It does not matter how long their length of service is. It does not matter how much experience they have accumulated. They’ll have to start all over.
- No one can truly fulfill a Nazirite vow without some strong dedication to the master of the mission. This dedication comes from an identification with the source of the mission — God Himself. Come to think of it God could have accomplished any mission Himself. He is almighty. Nothing is too hard for Him. In fact, He did create the universe all by Himself. With it He created mankind, all by Himself. But now He has man, He has a desire to work with and work through them.
- The Almighty God desires to use those who have consecrated themselves to Him and empowers them with His power to fulfill His will. So in a sense, the Nazirites have become God’s co-creator.
